June 8, 2026 - neurocare group
On June 3rd neurocare group AG had the pleasure of welcoming Colette Boos-John, Thuringian Minister for Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Areas, for an in-depth exchange at the company’s Ilmenau site. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on neurocare’s longstanding corporate development, as well as the origins of its Ilmenau-based subsidiary, neuroConn GmbH, which emerged as a spin-off from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau.
Kevin Reeder, CFO of neurocare group AG, and Klaus Schellhorn, Head of EEG & tES and Managing Director of neuroConn, outlined the company’s evolution into a globally operating organization in the field of mental health. Particular emphasis was placed on the continued expansion of neurocare’s best-practice platform, supported by a rapidly growing network of proprietary therapy centers across three continents. Equally central is the company’s close integration with leading national and international research communities in the field of non-invasive neuromodulation.
The visit was accompanied by Katrin Uschmann, Senior Investment Manager at bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh, the investment and venture capital arm of the Free State of Thuringia. For more than seven years, bm|t has been a trusted partner to neurocare and remains one of its key institutional investors, playing a significant role in the company’s sustained development.
For neurocare, the Minister’s visit sends a strong and encouraging signal. The continued interest and commitment of the Free State of Thuringia underscore the company’s potential to further strengthen its position within the dynamic and growing life sciences and medical technology sector on an international scale. At the same time, it highlights the critical importance of stable funding frameworks and long-term investment partnerships in enabling innovation-driven companies to thrive.
neurocare expresses its appreciation to Minister Boos-John for the open and constructive dialogue, as well as for her interest in and recognition of the company’s work at its Ilmenau site.
