THERA PRAX® - Bio- and Neurofeedback Systems
Neurofeedback is a kind of biofeedback and therefore a method in instrument-based behavioral therapy. Neurofeedback allows the patients to perceive and self-regulate their brain activity. Neurofeedback has an equivalent therapeutic effect compared to other kinds of ADHD treatments. If there is no urgent need of therapy because of severe ADHD symptoms, then neurofeedback is probably therapeutically effective. Neurofeedback probably reduces the number of seizures in patients with epilepsy, if previous established treatments were unsuccessful.
The THERA PRAX® by neuroConn is a highly manageable and ready-to-use system. This high-performance neurofeedback equipment is based on our innovative DC-EEG amplifier technology and is well suited for the training of self-regulation of slow cortical potentials (SCP). Here artefacts triggered by eye and muscle movements are corrected online. Supplemented by differing sensors (GSR, TEMPERATURE, RESPIRATION, PULSE), doctors and therapists can use the equipment for biofeedback training.
As a mobile portable feedback device with 13 channels (up to eight feedback channels), the THERA PRAX® MOBILE is also suitable for on-the-spot client treatment. In turn, the THERA PRAX® Q-EEG with 22 channels allows for the derivation of a quantitative EEG (Q-EEG).
